         Reach for Resources, Inc.

Reach for Resources is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help people of all abilities in the Minneapolis metro area to live a full life. We do this by providing individualized services that maximize independence, promote community involvement, and improve physical and mental well-being.

REACH became a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization in 1986. Today, we provide a wide array of direct services to promote independence and a meaningful quality of life for people with cognitive disabilities. The individuals we serve are affected by conditions such as developmental disabilities, autism, fetal alcohol syndrome, cerebral palsy, severe, multiple learning disabilities, epilepsy, muscular dystrophy, traumatic brain injury, and emotional behavioral disorders.

Each year REACH serves 800 – 1000 children, families and adults across metro Hennepin County with intellectual/cognitive disabilities.  A number of the people we serve also have conditions such as depression, anxiety, emotional/behavioral disorders, personality disorders, or schizophrenia. Our services are available to people ages five through end of life. We serve both men and women from a wide variety of ethnic, economic and cultural backgrounds.

Volunteers play a crucial role in our ability to serve children and adults with disabilities and we have many opportunities available on weekends, evenings, or during the day. Volunteers can work directly with clients, assist us with a special skill, serve on our board, or help plan fundraising events.
