Volunteer Opportunities

Hopkins Historical Society

Since its founding in 1972, the Hopkins Historical Society has been dedicated to preserving the history of the Hopkins community. We are a research center and archive for objects and photographs relating to Hopkins history. Many of our visitors are seeking family history information, or are historians doing research projects.

Our museum holds numerous artifacts including over 7000 photographs, original copies of the newspaper, The Hennepin County Review, and a wide variety of objects and documents generously donated by the community throughout the years. Our mission is to preserve historical objects and interpret the history of Hopkins to the wider community.

Our volunteers are the backbone of our society and museum, and we appreciate the work they do for us each and every day!
